Wind Turbine Grants
As of September 22, 2009 the US government has approved a total of over $1 billion in grants for the development of renewable energy projects. The move is designed to double the total output of renewable energy in the US. An additional $2 billion is expected to be added to the original allocation. Previously, the only support the government would provide would come in the form of tax credits. The newly enacted legislation allows for an immediate reimbursement of 25% of the total cost of a wind turbine project. The end result is a more affordable and profitable investment in green energy for our customers.
